On weekends throughout June and on Dragon Boat Festival (June 19), the Changsha Intangible Cultural Heritage Hall and the Changsha Drama Intangible Cultural Heritage Exhibition Center will host "Mangzhong Fun: Dragon Boat Festival Art Rhythms" experiential activities. Free hands-on experiences include traditional incense blending, Chinese tea art, wooden movable-type printing, bamboo weaving, Liuyang Xiabu cloth making, five-colored string weaving, and Hunan-style Zongzi making, allowing residents and visitors to experience the charm of traditional culture up close.
Binjiang Cultural Park has launched intangible cultural heritage activities, with projects such as palm mat making and resist-dyeing techniques allowing visitors to experience the beauty of craftsmanship by the Xiangjiang River. The "Youth in Intangible Cultural Heritage Class" Dragon Boat Festival public welfare course offers hands-on activities to children, including filigree zongzi-shaped bookmark making, Changsha dough figurines, crocheted mugwort leaves, and poem writing in Nvshu (women's script).
Meanwhile, special Changsha Tanci performances, shadow puppet shows, and a Dragon Boat Festival-themed photo spot will also be unveiled, providing residents and visitors with a festive experience that blends culture with fun.
